This stunning statement of Southwest art has nuggets of the "Sleeping Beauty Turquoise" from Glove, Arizona Each nugget of turquoise has been set in individual hand made bezels of sterling silver. This buckle is 2" by 3-1/2", it can fit on a 1-3/4" belt, and stamped Sterling and SIGNED. As with all handmade creations, the hand stamped designs will vary slightly.

There are many legends about Turquoise Pueblo Indians thought that its color was stolen from the sky. In Hopi legend the lizard who travels between the above and the below, excretes turquoise and that the stone can hold back floods.
