Old Pawn Silver Royston Turquoise Pendant
a brilliant display of shimmering Sterling Silver Hhand stamped designs and twisted Sterling Silver enveloping the stone making this a must have. This vintage pendant is 2-3/4" inches long which includes the bale, and it is 2" inches in width. The Navajo artist Leo Dawes signed it by stamping it with his symbol, initial, and Sterling. The Royston mine is a turquoise mine located within the Royston District in the southwestern part of Nevada. There is a number of mines that were discovered as early as 1902, and the Royston is considered to be the oldest patented mine in Nevada. Although this open pit mine is a very small operation, it is still active and produces high quality stones. The unique color of Royston ranges between green and light blue and is most often two-toned. This variety of turquoise is very collectible as well as a historically important investment.
